Jogeshwari- It may have been the fastest route to cross over from Jogeshwari east to west, but it was also a death trap that had claimed several lives on the rail tracks. The Central Railway has now closed down the railway crossing gate at Jogeshwari to correct the fatal flaw. On Sunday, an iron grille has come up barring all crossovers. GRP officials stationed at the spot said this would soon be replaced with a brick wall to ensure complete compliance and minimise accidents on the tracks.
