Following the withdrawal of the protestors, who protested for the fulfillment of their demands against Railways by blocking the trains and getting on the tracks between Matunga and Dadar, the protestors met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray.
In this meeting, Thackeray supported all the demands of the trainees and assured them by saying that the students had the full support of MNS.
The protests began at 7:00 am on the railway tracks between Matunga and Dadar on the Central Railway.
However, the railway administration woke up after the protests threw out of gear the entire suburban railway schedules in Mumbai. Even though the agitation by the protestors was meant to go on for just two hours, not a single Railways official or government representative was present which resulted in the extension of the protest for four hours.
Meanwhile, MNS general secretary Sandeep Deshpande quickly rushed to Matunga and started his discussion with the protesting trainees. After the railway administration agreed to give written assurance to the trainees, the trainees left the train track after four hours. After that, transport slowly started.
Then, these trainees asked for a meeting in front of MNS president Raj Thackeray. Accordingly, Raj Thackeray met the protesters at MIG Club in Bandra and had a discussion with them. After this discussion, he said that the demands of the trainees are right and he assured them that MNS is fully supportive of them.
