Mumbai – Mumbaikars are eagerly waiting to commute in AC local train. AC local train arrived at Kurla Carshed in April 2016. A trial run of the local was started on Saturday night. A joint team of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) worked on fitting the 12 coaches train. The rake has been built at a cost of Rs 54 crore. The trials have to be conducted on Central and western railway post which railway ministry will take the call.
