In order to provide jobs to the unemployed, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) has decided to provide opportunities by recruiting for a number of important posts which includes technicians and engineer.
As per reports, there are 86 vacancies for supervisory posts of section engineer and station controller/ train operator/ train collector and section engineer and 53 vacancies for non-supervisory posts of a technician. Moreover, MMRCL has invited online applications for recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the job by visiting the official website mahametro.org. by January 21, 2021, as it is the last date to submit applications.
In the MMRCL, the minimum age for applying for all the posts including technician and engineer is 18 years and the maximum age is 28 years. Candidates with 10th pass for the post of technician can apply for an ITI Certificate from NCVT / SCVT accredited institution. To apply for the post of Station Controller and Junior Engineer, it is important to have a three-year diploma in engineering from a recognized institute. Not only this, in order to apply for the post of Department Engineer, the candidates must have a BE or BTech pass from a recognized institute.
Meanwhile, candidates in General and OBC category will have to pay a fee of ₹400 to apply for all these posts. A fee of ₹150 has been fixed for other categories.
On the other hand, according to sources, the MMRCL is touted to extend the trial runs of the rakes across a 7km stretch between the Sant Tukaramnagar and Phugewadi stations. The priority stretch falls on the PCMC-Swargate Metro corridor.
