On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the state government has decided to waive off toll on the vehicles travelling from Mumbai, Thane to Konkan via Pune Expressway and Mumbai-Goa Highway.

Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Eknath Shinde announced that vehicles travelling to Konkan via Pune and Kolhapur between September 10 & September 13 will not have to pay the toll.

Meanwhile, motorists who are travelling to Konkan to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi can collect ‘Ganeshotsav-2018 Konkan Darshan’ sticker from traffic police or nearby Regional Transport Offices (RTO). Shinde added that along with private vehicles, the state transport buses which are run by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will be exempted from paying the toll as well.

He added that motorists returning to Mumbai, Thane from Konkan after the festival ends will not have to pay a toll on September 23.
