The state government has made it clear that the general public can use the suburban railway service during the restrictions, which has been imposed in Maharashtra to break the chain of the virus but only for a valid reason.

However, walking and cycling on the roads has been banned. E-commerce also allows the distribution of essential services such as groceries, medicines, foodstuffs, etc.

The state government has released detailed information on what can be used during the curfew in the state, what is allowed and what is not allowed. According to the guidelines, private vehicles owners are restricted to take out vehicles on the roads without any purpose. But people are allowed to travel by public transport like buses, autorickshaw and taxis.
