Seems the anxious souls of the taxi drivers will now feel be granted some peace of mind as the Transport Commissioner has ordered an extension for the installation of the speed control devices in the taxis extending the date till 30th November.
Earlier, since 1 May 2017 were all the four-wheelers for public transport were supposed to get speed control devices installed. However, due to the dearth of such devices in the market, the vehicle drivers were facing much of inconvenience. For that matter, the renewal process for the eligibility certificates due to this reason was completely seized; hence, a lot of taxi drivers faced a considerable amount of loss in their daily income. But now this decision has brought much of relief to the 4000 taxi drivers, thus working to the best of their advantage.
