The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced traffic block on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway due to girder launching work for a bridge. The traffic restrictions will remain in place from January 22 to 24 between 12 pm and 3 pm.
Therefore, travellers are advised to plan their journey accordingly as drivers can expect congestion during this time experiencing delays.
This is aimed at reducing congestion on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
According to reports, traffic moving toward Pune will be diverted during these times. The construction work will be carried out near Kusgaon at the 58.50-kilometer mark.
Traffic heading to Pune will be rerouted from Valvan at 54.70 kilometers, near Lonavala. Drivers will be diverted from Valvan to National Highway 48 via Varsoli and will re-enter the expressway at Dehu Road.
Traffic traveling toward Mumbai will not be affected during these three days.
