Many Mumbaikars go to Konkan for Gauri Ganpati. Owing to which, railway trains run fully booked before Ganapati month. In such a case, the ST Corporation and the Railway Administration have given good news so that people can reach the village.
Western Railway has decided to run 30 Ganpati special trains. These trains will run between Mumbai Central and Sawantwadi from September 14 to September 30. 208 Ganpati special trains will run on Konkan railway route from Central Railway.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai division will release extra ST buses to go to Konkan for Gauri Ganapati. 1,121 buses will be released during Ganpati season. As this year, Ganesh Chaturthi falls on September 19, Ganesh devotees can book online 60 days in advance. A total of 1,121 additional buses will be released from Mumbai depot 385, Parel 411, Kurla Nehru Nagar 301, Panvel 17, and Uran 7.
1) Car no -09009 / 09010 Mumbai Central - Sawantwadi Road - From Mumbai Central (6 days in a week) i.e. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 pm from September 14. So these trains will reach Sawantwadi at 3 o'clock on the next day.
Train No. 09010 Sawantwadi Road - Mumbai Central
6 days a week these special trains will leave Sawantwadi Road from September 15 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 5:00 pm. Then on the next day at 08:10 pm it will arrive at Mumbai Central.

2) Train No. 09018/ 09017- Udhna - Madgaon Jn.
This weekly special train will depart on Friday 15, 22, 29 September at 15:25 pm. This train will reach Madgaon Junction at 09:30 am the next day.
Car no. 09017 Madgaon Jn. - Udhna (Weekly) Special train will depart from Madgaon Junction on Saturday September 16, 23 and 30 at 10:20 am and will reach Udhna at 5:00 am on the next day.
