WR to introduce separate ticket counters for women, physically challenged and senior citizens

Western Railway to start 13 separate ticket counters for pass holders and ticket counters for women, senior citizens and physically challenged people on 11 railway stations

Usually, people of all age groups stand in the queue of the railway ticket counter which also include physically challenged people, senior citizens, and women. In order to make things comfortable for the same, Western Railway (WR) has decided to open separate ticket counters. This will run on a temporary basis for a period of six months. Seeing commuters’ response, WR will make these ticket counters permanent.

WR will start separate ticket counters on 11 railway stations and for physically challenged people, 13 separate ticket windows will be introduced. Along with this, 25 ticket windows will be reserved for season pass holders.

WR will start separate ticket counters for women, physically challenged commuters and senior citizens at Churchgate, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri, Goregaon, Malad, Borivali, Vasai Road, and Surat railway stations.

For season pass holders, WR will start ticket counters at Churchgate, Grant Road, Mumbai Central, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Mahim, Bandra, Khar, Santacruz, Vile Parle, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Mira Road, Bhayander, Vasai Road, Nalasopara and Virar railway stations.
