Is milk essential for TB patients?

As many as 60% of healthcare workers at Asia's largest tuberculosis (TB) hospital in Sewri have been diagnosed with the multi-drug resistant form of the disease. To increase the resistance power of the patients diet such as egg, meat, chicken has been repeatedly asked from the Department of health medical. In a hospital, tuberculosis patients are not being given proper attention regarding intake of their food and now the question arrived that intake of milk to the patients will cause to skeptic or not? Milk contain bacteria and due to pasteurization of milk most bacteria get destroyed. So milk should be boiled before consuming which is essential, scientific information available from World Trade Organization and so National Tuberculosis Control Program being executed under the guidance of Executive health officer Padmaja Kesarkar.
