Harper Collins India released a riveting short film- Parcel which marks as a beginning of a celebration of crime writing from India and around the world. It is the only Indian publisher to have an exclusive imprint for crime and thrillers- Harper Black.

It is a riveting short film celebrating the wonderful power of storytelling, with an intriguing narrative that will have you hooked till the very last minute. With Parcel, HarperCollins India aims to reinforce the power of a good story and establish new ways of storytelling to an audience that is now consuming all its forms – words, audio and moving images.

The video starts with the protagonist asking his friend a question, A parcel arrived at her doorstep and she died on the same evening, how did that happen? He further applied the rules that he will respond only with a yes, no or maybe. A series of interesting events is followed after this conversation which is sure to keep you glued and guessing till the end.

Titus Upputuru, who scripted and directed the film said, “Storytelling is an ancient art form. It is also so terribly current with platforms like Netflix and Amazon streaming some amazing content. I have always been in love with this medium since my literature days. Today, our business of marketing and communication allows us to tell stories every day. HarperCollins India publishes an eclectic mix of stories every season and this film was a great opportunity to celebrate their crime section.”

Parcel is directed by Titus Upputure and stars Riyaa Arora, Hurmat Ali Khan & Vyom Yadav in the lead. The film was launched on the HarperCollins India Platform on November 25, 2019.
