On Wednesday, February 17, actor Ranvir Shorey took to social media and shared that he has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently under quarantine.
The 48-year-old actor informed his fans and followers about the diagnosis through Twitter. "I have tested positive for #COVID19. Symptoms are mild. Am quarantining," Shorey wrote.

In response to his tweet, Ranvir Shorey received support and concern from fans. They wished him a speedy recovery and advised the actor to take care of himself.

The actor had a packed 2020, featuring in films like "Angrezi Medium", "Lootcase", "Kadakh", and series such as "PariWar" and "High".
Shorey currently stars in the second season of the Eros Now comedy drama "Metro Park", which started streaming in January.
He will be next seen in SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar’s upcoming film Mumbaikar with an ensemble cast and is currently shooting for the web series Sunflower directed by Vikas Bahl and co-starring Sunil Grover and Mukul Chadha.
On Tuesday, February 16, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar warned that the Maharashtra government could think of imposing a "second lockdown" in light of the rise in COVID-19 cases in the city. Apart from that, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister also urged citizens to strictly follow COVID-19 norms or else the government would be compelled to take harsh decisions.
