As per the reports, while working on the sets of film "Jug Jugg Jeeyo" in Chandigarh Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and director Raj Mehta have tested positive for COVID-19.

After the lead cast and director tested positive, the shooting of the film has been put on hold. So far neither of the stars have confirmed this news. The shooting will not begin until the stars are not healthy and fit.

Update: It was earlier reported that Anil Kapoor had tested positive. However, now his brother Boney Kapoor has confirmed that Anil did not test positive. The film was being shot in Chandigarh.

It is believed that a scene of a keertan was shot a couple of days back for the film. The shooting necessitated a crowd, because of which the two actors and the director may have contracted the virus.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo’s cast also includes Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. While the film is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. As per the report, just a few weeks back, a video of Neetu Kapoor taking the COVID-19 test on the sets had gone viral and the senior star gave fans a glimpse of the precautions being taken on the sets of the film including the crew wearing PPE suits, masks and gloves.

Earlier legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan had tested positive for COVID-19. The actor had announced it on Twitter. Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Daughter Aaradhya had also tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. While Jaya Bachchan has tested negative.

We wish Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor a speedy recovery
