After a long wait, the trailer of Irrfan Khan's anticipated film, Angrezi Medium, was released online by the makers. Besides Irrfan, the film stars Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, and others in pivotal roles. The film is a sequel to the popular 2017 Bollywood film, Hindi Medium, which starred Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the lead role.
The trailer shows father-daughter duo Champak (Irrfan Khan) and Tarika's (Radhika Madan) life briefly. After passing out from school Tarika wishes to pursue her education in London and she wants her father to do something regarding the same. Angrezi Medium revolves around how Champak ensures this happens, with the ups and downs they go through. Joining them on this journey are Deepak Dobriyal and Ranvir Shorey.
The filming of Angrezi Medium began in Udaipur in April 2019 and was completed by July 2019. Director Homi Adjania took to Twitter to announce the same.
The audience was also looking forward to Irrfan Khan's promotions during the film, but owing to his ill health, Irrfan decided not to promote the film and released an audio message for his well-wishers. Makers had released the audio clip few days before the trailer launch.
The music of the film is composed by Pritam and Vikram Montro, and is written by Bhavesh Mandalia, Gaurav Shukla, and Vinay Chhawla. Produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and London Calling Production, Angrezi Medium will release on March 20, 2020.
