Irrfan Khan died on April 29, 2020, at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. He was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in 2018 and was battling cancer since then.

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.  He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in 2018 and was undergoing treatment for the same, since then. he was admitted at Mumbai's hospital on April 28, 2020, since his health had deteriorated.

His demise has shocked Bollywood and the media fraternity. Celebrities and personalities took to Twitter to share their condolences. Here are some tweets

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar who shared the news first, said, "My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. I will always be proud of you.. we shall meet again.. condolences to Sutapa and Babil.. you too fought, Sutapa you gave everything possible in this fight. Peace and Om Shanti. Irfaan Khan salute."

Actor Randeep Hooda said, "Gone too soon is the inspiration and the entertainment #IrrfanKhan a great loss to cinema and the craft .. may you rest in peace brother"
