Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor unwell; hospitalised at Mumbai's HN Reliance Hospital

His brother Randhir Kapoor has confirmed that Rishi Kapoor was not feeling well and hence he has been admitted for treatment. However, the reason for the same has not been revealed yet. Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018

On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor was admitted at Mumbai's HN Reliance Hospital. His brother, Randhir Kapoor, confirmed the news and stated that his health was not well. However, the reason for the same is not known yet.

Randhir spoke to News18 and said, "It's true that he has been admitted to the hospital. He is in Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. He was not keeping well and had some problem, so we admitted him early this morning." He further added, "He will be alright. Neetu (Kapoor) is by his side."

Dismissing the rumours of being on a ventilator, Randhir told PTI, “He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now.”

He was also admitted at a hospital in Mumbai, this February when he suffered an infection, which he then mentioned on social media, stating that it was because of the pollution when he was shooting in Delhi.

He took to Twitter and said, "Dear family, friends, foes and followers. I have been overwhelmed by all your concern about my health. Thank you. I have been filming in Delhi past 18 days and because of the pollution and my low count of neutrophils, I caught an infection whereby I had to be hospitalised." 

In September 2019, Rishi was diagnosed with cancer was being treated at a hospital in the US for a year. He returned in 2019 and his wife Neetu Kapoor stood by him while he was fighting the deadly disease.

Earlier today, on April 29, 2020, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away, after he was rushed to the hospital on April 28, 2020, due to a colon infection. Irrfan was also suffering from a rare form of cancer. The news of his demise shocked the Bollywood and media fraternity, and after the news was revealed by his dear friend Shoojit Sircar, thousands joined to share their prayers and condolences.
