A police complaint has been filed against actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and two others in Beed city of Maharashtra on Wednesday, July 14, over the title of her upcoming book, Pregnancy Bible.

According to reports, a Christian group has taken objection to the title of a book written by Kareena Kapoor for hurting religious sentiments of the community, an official said.

The book has been authored by Kareena Kapoor and Aditi Shah Bhimjani and published by Juggernaut Books. The actress launched her book on July 9.

Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde submitted the complaint at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed and seeks action under IPC section 295 A, which relates to outraging of religious beliefs. The use of ‘Bible‘ in the title has been objected to.

However, the police at Shivaji Nagar said they have asked the complainant to file a complaint in Mumbai, not Beed. Therefore, no FIR has been filed against anyone yet.

According to the actress, the book is a personal account of what she experienced physically and emotionally through both her pregnancies.

This is not the first time that the Bollywood diva has landed in a controversy. Previously, Kapoor and her family found themselves amid widespread national outrage as people protested against her naming her son Taimur, which resembled the title of a historical invader from the 14th century.

Besides, last month, #BoycottKareenaKhan began trending on Twitter after there were reports that she has demanded a whopping fee of INR 12 crores for the role of Sita in a film adapted from the epic Ramayana.
