After being a part of many issues, the film may hit the theatres on January 26, 2018. CBFC recommended a change in the film's title to 'Padmaavat.' Along with the 26 cuts, the board has also asked for an addition of two disclaimers; one clarifying that the filmmakers do not claim historic precision, and a line says the film does not endorse the practice of Sati and Jauhar.

Although the film gets its way cleared for the release, nothing yet has been officially announced regarding the release date of the film Padmaavat. If Padmavat releases on the given date it will clash with R.Balki’s PadMan and Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary. As per reports, the producers of PadMan have mentioned that they would maintain the release date of the movie and will not shift due to the clash.
