BMC initiated demolition drive in Versova. The drive was carried out on the lands falling under coastal regulation zone on Thursday. 138 unauthorised shops were under the radar of municipal corporation which is located in Siddharth Nagar near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar in Versova.
Assistant Commissioner, K/West Ward Prashant Gaikwad stated that 3 JCB machine, 2 lorries and 2 dumpers were deployed in the demolition act. Present at the location were 30 policemen, 22 civic workers and 7 employees of Kamgar and District Office Unit.
