Update: Maharashtra Chief Minister's wife Amruta Fadnavis clarified that she was not taking selfies but was enjoying the fresh air sitting at the edge of the cruise. She also mentioned that she will face action if initiated any and will apologise as well.
It has only been three days since the Amritsar tragedy, where around 61 people lost their lives while clicking selfies while standing on the railway tracks witnessing burning effigy of Ravana, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amruta Fadnavis was seen taking selfies at the edge of Angriya cruise in the middle of the ocean.
The cruise was launched on October 20 and it was inaugurated by Union minister Nitin Gadkari and CM Fadnavis. Amruta Fadnavis was also present during the inauguration ceremony.

The 31-second video shared by news agency ANI shows CM’s wife sitting at the edge of the cruise and taking a selfie from a dangerous angle. Amruta Fadnavis crossed the safety cordon railing of the cruise and sat at the edge. In the video, one could see security personnel and police officers also asking the chief minister’s wife to be careful but she took no notice of it and was busy clicking selfies.
