The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has appealed to citizens not to panic or hoard domestic gas cylinders, stating that household LPG supplies are currently available in adequate quantities.

According to the civic body, the shortage being reported is related to industrial and commercial gas, which has been affected temporarily due to the ongoing conflict situation in the Gulf region. However, authorities clarified that domestic gas cylinders remain sufficiently available for household use.

Officials said that maintaining uninterrupted supply of domestic PNG and LPG gas has been given the highest priority. Special attention is also being given to ensure gas supply for hospital patients and for preparing meals under school nutrition programmes.

The civic administration has urged residents not to stockpile gas cylinders or believe in rumours, and to rely only on official and verified information.

If citizens face any issues related to gas supply, they can contact the 24×7 toll-free helpline (1800222309) of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Authorities from the district food and civil supplies office in Thane are also closely monitoring the situation.

Residents can also reach out to officials from the district rationing office or the Navi Mumbai rationing office for further assistance if required.
