Amid Sabarimala Row, the women in Mumbai will contest to protect equal rights for women and to show solidarity for the protesting women in Kerala. On January 1, 2019, a ‘women chain’ will be organised from Chaityabhoomi to Shivaji Park.
After the Supreme Court verdict which allowed women to enter the temple, major protests against the apex court’s order broke out in the state. To protest against the same, women in Kerala will be protesting on January 1 forming ‘human chain’.

Women in Mumbai have decided to participate and support the struggle. Women Wall Formation Committee has appealed the women from town and suburbs to join them in their struggle on January 1.
