On Sunday, June 6, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray sharing the plan for unlocking, allowed the resumption of film shoots with strict restrictions.

Moreover, CM Thackeray clarified that the regular shoots cannot resume and all shoots will have to happen during the restricted timings and in bio bubbles as proposed in the unlock Mumbai plan.

According to reports, he further added that the state government has banned the shooting of films and serials and the overall situation in the state is being reviewed. In addition, he informed that the government has prepared SOPs and the unlock process will begin from Monday.

Furthermore, the CM stated the Maharashtra government has allowed the shooting of films and serials in districts that fall in level 3, where the positivity rate is in the range of 5 to 10 per cent and the oxygen bed occupancy is more than 40 per cent. However, he insisted that shoots will have to be held adhering to the COVID-19 rules.

On the other hand, earlier on Saturday, June 5, Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal announced that Mumbai falls under Level 3 of the unlock plan announced by the Maharashtra government a day earlier.

Moreover, ten districts of Maharashtra and three municipal corporations fall under Level 1 and can go in for a complete unlock from Monday, June 7. Aurangabad, Nagpur and Solapur civic corporations, along with districts like Ahmednagar, Jalna, Jalgaon and Latur are in Level 1, with their weekly positivity rate less than 5 per cent and oxygen bed occupancy less than 25 per cent.
