After the CSMT bridge collapse which killed six people and left 36 injured, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) suspended its four officials including two retired officials on the basis of their initial investigation report.

Moreover, the civic body issued a show cause notice against the company which was appointed for the audit of the Himalaya foot overbridge (FOB). BMC Opposition leader Ravi Raja wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday and demanded his intervention in the foot overbridge incident.

In the letter, Raja urged for a judicial probe into the matter and demanded a retired Bombay High Court judge to conduct the same.
