Dharavi is one of the most vulnerable COVID-19 hotspots in Mumbai and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is taking all the measures to curb the spread of coronavirus in the slum area. However, the situation in Dharavi is dire. There were 57 new cases recorded on Monday. With this the total number of COVID-19 patients reported from Dharavi has reached 916.

The G-North ward, which consists of Dharavi, Mahim and Dadar (West), has already recorded over 1,000 cases. As of now, the BMC has stopped issuing ward-wise data of COVID-19 cases, citing technical reasons.
