Days into the BEST bus driver who lost his life in the accident at Dadar TT, the conductor of the bus also succumbed on Monday night, stated reports. The accident occurred when the bus rammed into a dumper truck from the back near Dadar’s Khodadad Circle.
A report by Mid-Day quoted Dr Ijaz, the assistant medical officer at Sion Hospital who stated that Kashiram Dhuri, the 57-year-old bus conductor lost his life to injuries on Monday at nearly 11.30 pm.
Based on accounts, ten people that comprised the driver and the conductor of the bus sustained injuries in the mishap that happened last Wednesday. From those injured, five that entailed three women travellers, the driver and the conductor were in a grievous condition.
Reports elaborated that a BEST spokesperson elucidated that eight of those injured were admitted to Sion Hospital, whilst two refused treatment and decided to go home. Of the eight, two lost their lives to the injuries, whilst one is still going through treatment and five have been discharged.
The accident transpired near Dadar when the bus that was plying on route number 22 from Pydhonie from Marol. Grabs from the CCTV near the accident spot depict the bus ramming into the dumper from the back near a traffic signal.
