A case of accidental death occurred on the Western Express Highway near Aarey Colony within the jurisdiction of Vanrai police station at around 1:30 am on Wednesday night.
According to the first information gathered in this regard, a speeding rickshaw hit the head of the deer. In this incident, the rickshaw driver was also injured and he was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. As soon as the local residents saw the deer they picked him up and sprinkled water on the deer, but he didn't wake up. After this, they informed this to Sanjay Gandhi National Park police. The officials of Sanjay Gandhi National Park reached the spot and the injured was taken to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, but the deer died on the road.

The police have not received permission for his postmortem yet. Postmortem will be done after getting permission from the police. According to the preliminary information, the deer was hit on the head. After the post-mortem, they will know which other areas suffered the blow.
