To reduce traffic congestion on the eastern (Kopri) side of Thane Railway Station, the Thane Traffic Police have introduced new No-Entry and No-Parking regulations. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Pankaj Shirsat has issued an official notification, and these changes will remain permanent.

The ongoing construction of the SATIS bridge on the eastern side has narrowed the road. Additionally, increased two-wheeler parking near the station has worsened traffic congestion. To manage the situation, the traffic department has imposed time-based parking restrictions on certain routes and banned vehicle entry at specific points.

New Traffic Rules Implemented 1. Punjab National Bank to Municipal Fire Brigade Center
  • 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Parking allowed on the left side of the road for up to 100 meters

  • 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM: Parking allowed on the right side of the road

2. Fire Brigade Center to Radhakrishna Mandir Road
  • 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Parking allowed on the left side for up to 50 meters

  • 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM: Parking allowed on the right side

3. Entry Restrictions
  • Vehicles (except two-wheelers) coming from Siddharth Nagar/Bhimshakti Chowk via Deepak Lassi Center Road
→ Entry prohibited at Bhimshakti Chowk

  • Vehicles going from Deepak Lassi Center towards Hasija Corner
    → Entry prohibited further ahead
