On Monday, November 8, after almost six hours a major fire that broke out in a plastic products factory in Maharashtra’s Thane was brought under control, stated officials, reported the PTI.

The fire erupted on Sunday at nearly 9 pm in the unit manufacturing plastic chairs and other similar commodities in Thane district’s, Murbad industrial area. The fire then promptly spread through the entire premises. 

According to the report, Santosh Kadam the Thane Municipal Corporation regional disaster management cell stated that five fire engines promptly reached the spot and the fire was brought under control by nearly 3 am on Monday. He added that nobody was injured in the mishap and that, cooling operations were operational with the reason for the fire under question.

In similar news, on Monday a fire also broke out in a college in Thane, NKT College highlighted the municipal corporation. No injuries or casualties were reported since the college is on a Diwali break. However, reports claim that the furniture and paperwork were damaged.

Moreover, on Saturday, November 6, a major fire occurred wherein nearly 11 COVID-19 patients succumbed and others were injured at a hospital in Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. It is believed that the fire erupted in the ICU.
