On Thursday, November 11, a fire broke out in the basement of the 20 storey Kanakia Paris building in Mumbai's Bandra East at nearly 1.15 pm, stated a report by the PTI.

The fire brigade, police officials and an ambulance were at the spot and efforts were underway to douse the fire. No injuries have been reported so far.

Based on the account, an official from the civic authority stated that there wasn’t any report of injuries. The fire began in the basement where it is believed that many scrap items were stored. This building is located near the Kherwadi Police Station, highlighted a fire official.

Four fire engines, as well as water tankers, promptly arrived at the location, and after nearly an hour the blaze was put out. The official added that a probe is underway to determine the reason for the fire.

Earlier on Tuesday night, November 9, a fire had broken out in the terrace flat of ground plus a four-storeyed building in Mumbra’s Kismat colony, Umar Palace building.

Since the past few days, many fire mishaps have been reported across Maharashtra with one that particularly rattled the citizens being in a hospital in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar, where 11 COVID-19 patients lost their lives.
