Ten days after welcoming Ganpati Bappa, the devotees finally had to say their goodbye to the deity on Anant Chaturdashi. As the devotees danced and celebrated during Ganpati Visarjan, some of the devotees faced injuries while bidding farewell to Bappa.

While trying to catch a glimpse of Ganpati Bappa for the last time, 41 devotees were left injured due to different reasons. According to the reports, these devotees were left injured at the Girgaum Chowpatty.

In the meantime, the majority of devotees had faced minor injuries and were left after they were provided first-aid care. However, only one injured had fractured his arm and was provided treatment for the same. 

Earlier, in order to avoid any untoward incidents during the procession, 53 roads had been closed for vehicular traffic and around 50,000 police officers had been appointed on the roads. 

According to the reports, by Thursday evening, Mumbaikars had conducted Visarjan of around 9,000 Ganpati idols. On the other hand, one of the most prominent Ganpati mandals of Mumbai, Lalbaugcha Raja's Visarjan was completed 21 hours after it left the pandal.
