Bridges at Grant Road and Bandra to be shut down for public use

The Maulana Shaukat Ali Road bridge at Grant Road will soon be shut down for public use as the committee consisting of members from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Bombay), Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and Railways has deemed the bridge dangerous.

The Western Railways' bridge was inspected by the joint committee, that presented a report asking the officials to shut the bridge immediately.

The Maulana Shaukat Ali Road Over Bridge will now be inaccessible for vehicular traffic. Therefore, people will have to find an alternate route for commuting.

On the other hand, the Foot Over Bridge at Bandra is going to be repaired between September 18 and November 16. Accordingly, to ensure people's safety, Railways will be temporarily shut down.
