State health minister Dr Deepak Sawant on Thursday visited the Saifi Hospital and enquired about the health of Eman Ahmed, world’s heaviest woman, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital. He supported the doctors from the hospital after Eman’s sister Shaima levelled allegations against them.
The minister further said that he condemns the allegations of Shaima as no truth was found in the allegations levelled against Indian doctors. “Dr Lakdawala and his team have done a good job. Eman can now sit in the city scan machine and it means that she has shaded her weight considerably,” said Dr Sawant.
Meanwhile, Eman’s sister Shaima informed that her sister will soon be shifted to Abu Dhabi for further treatment. She declared that she did not trust the doctors from Egypt and India and a team of seven doctors from VPS Healthcare Hospital in Abu Dhabi has inspected the condition of Eman and they have expressed satisfaction over her recovery.
Eman can be treated at Burjil Hospital in Abu Dhabi and the hospital has shown readiness to do so. A team of four doctors from this hospital will study all the files of Eman and then she will be shifted to Abu Dhabi hospital, said Shaima.
Meanwhile, Saifi Hospital has claimed that its doctors have brought Eman’s weight to 171 kg.
