The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for some parts of Maharashtra. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with gale force winds and lightning in various districts of Maharashtra on December 26, 27 and 28. 


The Meteorological Department has issued yellow alert for Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Akola, Amravati, Buldhana and Washim from December 26 to December 28.

This will especially affect the districts of Khandesh, Marathwada and Vidarbha. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather with light rain in the entire Maharashtra including Mumbai from December 26.

On December 27, rain accompanied by squall is likely over some parts of Khandesh (Nashik Division), Madhya Maharashtra (Pune Division), North Marathwada and West Vidarbha. On December 28, heavy rain with thunderstorms is likely over Khandesh, northern parts of Marathwada and some parts of Vidarbha.


The agriculture department has informed the farmers that they should pay attention to the weather reports and plan their farming activities accordingly. Being aware of these changes in climate is essential for farmers to protect their crops and minimize potential damage.
