Jogeshwari resident Sayali Rane (21), who was battling for her life after being hit by a car on JVLR last Sunday, is now out of danger. She has been moved out of the ICU at Holy Spirit Hospital. Doctors confirmed that she is stable but recovery will take time. 

Her father Prakash informed that two days ago, she has been moved to the general ward. He said that she is not completely conscious or aware and barely opens her eyes, but they are happy that there is no danger to her life.

Her father who drives an auto rickshaw said she is being fed through a tube for now and she is fighting hard. He added that a Citizens of Powai (COP) group has come forward to take care of Sayali’s hospital expenses. The COP members have deposited ₹25,000 and will raise more funds as and when it is required. 

In a shocking incident, a student was hit by a car in Jogeshwari who is now reported to be in a coma. On December 31, Sayali Rane was returning from her coaching class and a speeding car hit her from behind. The driver lost the control, hit the girl and then dashed onto the nearby tree. The accident was so intense that Sayali flew in the air, and fell on the ground.
