Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Maharashtra have been rising significantly and observing the same, the state government has decided to extend the COVID-19 restrictions until April 15, 2021, with a hope that the situation would be under control by then.

To ensure the same, the state government has asked the citizens to abide by all the restrictions rules which were imposed earlier. Everyone has been asked to wear masks, maintain social distance, and other norms. Moreover, offices will be allowed to operate with restrictions as previously imposed. 

Local administrations have been directed to declare containment zones, and amidst the curfew, a gathering of five or more people is not allowed. Curfew will be implemented from 8 pm to 7 am from March 27, 2021 and will remain in force till April 15, 2021. Violators will have to pay a fine of INR 1,000. 

Public parks and beaches will also remain closed from 8pm to 7am. Besides this, any type of social, cultural, political and religious events will not be allowed until April 15.  Restrictions have also been placed on the use of halls and rooms for a gathering with more than  50 people for a wedding and 20 people for a funeral.

All private offices will operate with 50 per cent attendance in compliance with all health related regulations. Those who do not wear masks will not be allowed in such places. Measuring body temperature and use of sanitizers will have to be arranged.

All single screen and multiplex cinemas, malls, auditoriums, restaurants will remain closed. Restaurants and food joints will be allowed only home delivery at the above-mentioned timings. Violation of rules will lead to strict action and the concerned establishment will also be fined.
