A terrible accident involving seven to eight vehicles took place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to media reports, seven to eight different vehicles collided with each other on the Mumbai Pune Expressway. The accident took place near Khopoli exit.
The accident took place near the Khopoli exit on the Mumbai-bound lane of the expressway and several people were reportedly injured.

Due to this accident, the traffic towards Mumbai has come to a standstill. The exact reason behind the accident is not known.
Recently, on Mar 17, 2023, in a tragic incident, three people died after a speeding car collided with a cargo truck on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.
According to the police, the accident took place around 7:30 am near the Talegaon toll plaza on the busy carriageway. According to reports, they were travelling towards Mumbai from Pune when their speeding car collided with a cargo truck from behind resulting in the death of all three passengers in the car.
