Overnight rains pounded Mumbai and nearby areas which led to power outages for over eight hours at a few places. However, this not only puts citizens to hardships but also patients who are asthmatic or on hospital beds with monitors at home.
Adding to the woes of Mumbaikars, a power failure in the Bhandup water complex left many parts of the city without water.

Netizens, frustrated by the water-logging, power cut, and suspension of water supply, have taken to social media to express their woes. Twitter today is flooded by tweets about the trouble caused by rain in Mumbai. Visuals shared by Mumbaikars on Twitter show the bleak state of affairs.

An Adani official said, "The heavy rainfall resulted in waterlogging in our supply areas and for safety reasons, we switched off supply in some areas. As soon as the water receded, the supply was restored,"
