Wadala Citizens' Vigilance Committee had requested Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to rename monorail's corridor stationat Dadar east as Pratipandharpur Vitthal Mandir. Now they are being backed by MNS who met MMRDA’s commissioner UPS Madan in regards to the same.
“MMRDA should take the area’s famous temple or heritage in consideration and then should name the station. MMRDA named Dadar monorail without any research or studying the area,” said Milind Panchal, general secretary of the road and infrastructure.
Along with Milind Panchal, ward president Anand Prabhu, MNS deputy president Hemant Patil, Nilesh Tondwalkar, Rajendra Kambli, ward president Vinaya Devdharkar. MMRDA commissioner UPS Madan said that he has got several requests for the same and will look into the matter.
