Mumbai seems to be receiving goodbye showers. On Friday, September 20, Mumbai and suburban areas heavy rains lashed out the city and surrounding areas. As a result, there was water-logging at several places. Route of several BEST buses had to be changed and there were jams at several places. Local train service too was affected and trains were running slightly late.


IMD's Red Alert

Previously, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a red alert for Mumbai for the next two days, i.e. September 19 and 20. Schools and Junior colleges were shut. However, despite the alert, there was very little rainfall on Thursday and people shared many Memes regarding how accurate IMD has been with its prediction all through the monsoon. For Friday, the alert had been changed to "orange". High tide with waves reaching a height of 3.6 meters is expected today at 3:00 PM. 

Despite the rain, the Western Express Railways was running were only slightly delayed.

Tired of the rain, some citizens took Twitter to express their frustration.
