The Mumbai Traffic Police’s Western Suburbs Division has announced traffic restrictions and diversions around the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Mandir (ISKCON) in Juhu ahead of the Gokulashtami celebrations.
The temple is expected to witness a heavy influx of devotees during the festivities on September 3 and 4. In view of the anticipated crowd and to ensure smooth vehicular movement and public safety, the Santacruz Traffic Division has issued special traffic arrangements for the surrounding roads.
According to the order issued by Ajit Borhade, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (Western Suburban), Mumbai, the restrictions have been imposed under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, along with the relevant Maharashtra government notification.

The measures have been introduced as a precautionary step to manage the expected increase in pedestrian and vehicular movement around ISKCON Juhu.
NO PARKING ZONES:
1. Janardhan Mhatre Road
2. Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg
3. Juhu Church Road
4. Gandhi Gram Road
5. Alfred Criedo Road
6. Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg
7. Shyamrao Parulekar Marg (N.S. Road No. 13)
8. Balraj Sahani Road
9. A.B. Nair Road
10. Devle Road (Military Road)
NO ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
A. Access to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg from Chandok Chowk (North to South) will be closed for all vehicles except emergency service vehicles, VVIP vehicles, temple vehicles and local residents.
B. Access to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg from Alfred Criedo Road (South to North) will be closed for all vehicles.
C. Access will be closed from Shyamrao Parulekar Marg (N.S. Road No. 13) towards Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg. d. No entry from Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg Junction - Devle Road Junction (East to West) towards Military road for all vehicles.
ONE WAY RESTRICTION
The road from Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg - Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg will be one-way for all vehicles.
Urge To Motorists:
Motorists travelling through Juhu and nearby areas have been advised to take note of the restrictions and diversions and plan their journeys accordingly. Commuters may also experience slower traffic near the temple during peak festival hours.
The traffic police have urged motorists to cooperate with personnel deployed in the area and follow temporary traffic signs and diversion routes during the celebrations.
