Mumbaikars will be facing a two day water shortage crisis. Four valves of 750 mm diameter will be replaced at Veravali Reservoir-2 in K East Division of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Because of this, the water supply to some parts of K East and K West sections of Mumbai will be shut off from September 19, 8:00 pm to September 20, 2:00 pm.
As the water supply will remain closed, the BMC has appealed to the citizens to keep sufficient water reserves and use water sparingly. After outlet repair work, water supply will be restored as per regular schedule. Also, as a precautionary measure after the water supply is restored, the municipal administration has also requested that the water should be filtered and boiled for 4 to 5 days.
