The release also clarified that the centres are not running out of doses. It said that the authorities have a sufficient amount of COVID-19 vaccine doses.
Since the administration is organizing special sessions to fully vaccinate the citizens awaiting their second dose, it has led to administrative and technical issues related to the drive, which are being resolved, reports stated.
There are presently 455 active COVID-19 vaccination centers in Mumbai, out of which 302 are operated by BMC and 19 by the state government. 134 COVID-19 vaccination centres are run by private hospitals, as cited by TOI.

Meanwhile, to boost the inoculation drive, the civic body also stated that it is also trying to organize special session for women, as per reports.
