Mahanagar Gas Limited has reduced the prices of CNG and PNG. The company has officially announced this by issuing a press release.
Mahanagar Gas Limited has given good news to Mumbaikars by reducing the prices of CNG and PNG at the beginning of the month. It has announced that this cut has been made to increase the amount of natural gas for domestic use and vehicles. According to the company, the new rates will be effective from October 2.
How much is the deduction?
Currently, consumers in Mumbai have to pay INR 76 per kg for CNG. For PNG one has to pay INR 47. Mahanagar Gas Limited has reduced the price of CNG by INR 2. Also, the price of PNG has been reduced by INR 2. These new rates will be effective from October 2.
In view of the rising prices of petrol and diesel, many vehicle owners now opt for CNG or electric cars. CNG is cost effective for long distances. According to Mahanagar Gas Limited, CNG users in Mumbai save 50 percent on petrol and 20 percent on diesel.
