Earlier on Monday, September 20, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aaditya Thackeray called for designing a quick response or QR code to identify buildings in Mumbai where all eligible residents have been fully vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus.

Moreover, the Shiv Sena leader was speaking at a review meeting called to seek inputs for drawing up a strategy to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, increase vaccination and control vector-borne diseases in Mumbai.

According to reports, a statement issued by the minister's office said the Aaditya Thackeray had requested the Brihanamumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to create a special logo with a QR code that could be displayed at the entry gates of residential and commercial buildings.

On the other hand, earlier on Tuesday, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) declared the list of vaccination centres that will be administering vaccines from 9 am to 5 pm. Owing to the shortage of vaccines, from the 316 state-run and BMC vaccination centres, only 73 are functional on Tuesday for vaccination in the island city.

However, all the state and BMC run centres will be operational from Wednesday when the vaccine supply is received, stated the civic authority.
