After the State Government announced the loan waiver, the farmers called off their strike. Now, to make things better for the milk producers, they might increase milk prices in the next 2-3 days.
According to the reported information, the government is going to raise the prices. Cow milk will be priced at Rs 27/liter where it was Rs 24/liter earlier. Buffalo milk will be priced Rs 37/liter from Rs 33/liter.
The farmers would be very content with the price hike but not sure how pleased the buyer would be.
In the last few weeks, farmers’ strike in Maharashtra has caused a lot of havoc. Finally, things look to be settling down.
