The Maharashtra government is set to construct a six-storey Nandgiri State Guest House in Vile Parle, near Mumbai Airport, to provide accommodation for guests visiting the city from different states.
The proposed facility will have 39 rooms and parking space for 42 vehicles, along with modern amenities. The building will comprise four basement levels and six floors.
The proposed layout was reviewed at a meeting chaired by Maharashtra Minister Jaykumar Rawal. Senior officials from the Protocol Department and Public Works Department, along with architects involved in the project, attended the meeting.
Rawal directed officials to include separate accommodation within the building for drivers and security personnel accompanying guests. He also stressed that all necessary security arrangements and facilities should be incorporated into the design.
Officials have been directed to submit the final architectural plan at the earliest and expedite the subsequent construction process.
What the Guest House Will Include
The proposed Nandgiri State Guest House will have a reception and waiting area, along with 39 rooms, including executive and presidential suites.
The first floor will feature two conference rooms, a boardroom and a main kitchen, along with separate general and private kitchen facilities.
Guest accommodation will be spread across the second to sixth floors, while the facility will also include parking capacity for 42 vehicles.
The project is aimed at providing a convenient and well-equipped accommodation facility close to Mumbai Airport for visiting dignitaries and other official guests.
