Tata Cancer Hospital Doctors’ bus meets with an accident; one dead, 30 injured

40 doctors from Mumbai’s Tata Cancer Hospital were on a bus which was returning from a conference at Ahmednagar when the bus met with an accident, leaving 30 injured and claimed the life of the driver.

Recently, Dapoli’s Konkan Agriculture University’s bus met with an accident due to slippery roads during the monsoon. Just a few days after the fateful incident, another bus with doctors on board of Mumbai’s Tata Cancer Hospital met with an accident on Saturday. The accident claimed the life of the bus driver and injured over 30 doctors onboard who have been rushed to a hospital in Ahmednagar.

The passengers consisted of doctors from the radiation oncology department of Tata Cancer Hospital along with the team of expert doctors from all the departments who were going to a conference in Aurangabad. The bus accident happened on the road near Kedgaon Bypass at the outskirts of Ahmednagar. There were a total of 40 doctors on the bus and all of them were cancer specialists.

The bus crashed into a container in front of Neel hotel on the Kedgaon Bypass road. In which, Dr. Pushkar Ingle, Dr. Anil Tibleval and Dr. Jani Carton have been gravely injured. All the injured have been admitted to Maxcare Hub Hospital, Ahmednagar.
