While Mumbai civic body is planning to lift the 10% water cut, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has decided to cut water in some parts of Thane from August 1 until the monsoon subsides.

This water cut will be imposed owing to technical issues at the municipal pumping stations at Pise.

Due to this decision, the water supply to each section will be shut off for 12 hours once in 15 days.
